Not sure if you like the idea of using stainless steel foot supports? That’s okay, it sounds uncomfortable to some people and that’s one reason why we created our Padded Covering. The Padded Covering is a combination of a polyurethane foam layer that is 1/8″ thick with a soft, fabric covering. It gives your feet even more cushion against impact shock and it’s the only covering we offer that covers the entire length of the Featherspring™ Foot Support. (Recommended covering for diabetics. The Padded Covering is applied by our technicians with a commercial adhesive. But not to worry, the Padded Covering can be replaced when it starts to look worn. That’s important because we expect Featherspring™ Foot Supports to outlast the Padded Covering. With the movement of your foot and the warmth and moisture in your shoes, the Padded Covering will start to release from the Feathersprings. That’s when it’s time for a replacement. (We’re sorry but we can’t predict when the Padded Covering will start to release. This varies for each person. Some people will use the Padded Covering for years and others may want to replace it yearly.)
